I ran GTA4 which ran for a little while longer, but still throws a BSOD after a while. So I reinstalled (clean install) the Nvidia drivers. This could mean that GTA 4 is running on the HD Graphics GPU? So at this moment I'm reinstalling my Nvidia drivers. What I just noticed while writing this is that Hardware Info 64 does not recognize my Nvidia GPU.

This query in Google has led me to the information that the HD Graphics driver is crashing. The error message being:ĭRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (igdkmd64.sys)

When I run GTA 4 (haven't tested any other games to be frank) - which ran fine before the update - it crashes after a while with a BSOD. I just upgraded to Windows 8.1 today and I'm running into some issues. It's strange though because I've seen people play TS3 with HD Graphics, but of course it might be they haven't got exactly the same card. Also, my game has said once or twice that it's doesn't recognize my graphic card. I've heard the game doesn't run perfectly on Win8. I hope someone has a solution to this because this makes playing TS3 really frustrating. If I let my laptop to search for updates from my files, it says again that the update's not compatible but with a different error.

Instead of succeeding I got the error message of ".not compatible with" Also if I try to install it manually by choosing the file from my files, my system says the drivers are up to date. I tried to install the update that was offered for me after the Intel Driver Update Utility scanned my laptop. I get the message "The Sims 3 has stopped working" Also, the game won't let me change any game settings, not graphics nor sound or anything.) (The game keeps suddenly crashing while loading or saving and also in middle of playing. I need to update them, mostly to play The Sims 3, which occurs to have major crashing problems because of the graphic card and/or its drivers. Sadly, after about 2 days of work, I decided to roll back to my Win7.Įxcluding this video driver issue, it seems to run fine, but I cannot use it with the display in that condition.I've confronted a problem with my graphic card drivers. … and this means I see everything deformed losing about 20% my little display space. This could have been the solution to my problem if only it can be more flexible. The second one is the Microsoft generic video driver. My experience is that you usually need it, when you aren't able to logon. By default the user can trigger it, only by logging into the system and do same specific task. The first one is I find crazy to disable by default the boot menu from which you can trigger safe mode. My issue doesn't seem to be related to the driver delivery. The driver still have to run into Win10 system.

The tip to install it in Compatiblity Mode (CM) doesn't work in this case probably because the system uses it only during the installation process. I spent some time to follow any installation tips but the driver still crashes.
